Usually, those in the restaurant will know how they are cooked and can provide you with options. If part of the dish is cooked this way, and others aren’t, you can always ask for a substitute with your meal.

Watch out for salads. Many salads have many unhealthy and even fattening extras.  When possible ask for salad dressing on the side.
