How to choose Hair Styling Products: TIPS

Too many bad-hair days? It may be from your haircut, or most probably because you use hair-care products made for different hair types.

1. Moisturizing Shampoos and Conditioners are good for very dry hair. Use them.
2. Hair masks/ oil treatments, protein packs - help your hair to recover lost moisture, enhance softness and shine.
3. Apply to roots volume-enhancing sprays. Then dry to add volume. Do not use them on a curly hair.
4. Add texture and shape using hair gels and hair wax. Define curls and stop flyaway hair.
5. Straighteners: use temporary products at home, but for permanent effects products should be applied by professionals.
6. Hair styling products must be applied on a healthy, clean hair. Take care to clean and brush your hair after using styling products. Avoid sleeping without removing the styling products from your hair.

LOVE YOUR HAIR

Take time out for your hair, daily. When washing your hair, try to find shampoos and conditioners that are natural and/or organic.Once a week, massage scalp with Jojoba oil and a couple of drops of rosemary oil.Leave on overnight, then wash out.You can leave it in if you choose to,sometimes hair may be too greasy. Its up to you.Use a good leave-in-conditioner.I find that it really helps with, shine, softness and protects hair from sun and other damaging elements.A product that I find is great for the hair is Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula with vitamin E.Its funny, this is actually a Moisturizing Body Oil.I first purchased a bottle of this a few years ago and decided to use it for my hair.I have been using it ever since.I love it!! It smells good and keeps my hair moisturized and shinny.I use it after I wash and condition my hair.Sometimes I will put the bottle in a cup of hot water so that the oil is warm when I put it in my hair. You dont have to heat it up though.Just put about a dime size in your hand, rub hands together and distribute evenly throughout your hair. Then comb your hair and let dry.Just try it,it may not work for everybody, but trust me,most will notice a difference.I buy mine from Walmart, but Im sure you could probaly get it from other stores, grocery stores-basically any store that sells lotions and skin products, because remember its actually a body oil.The only other advice that I have, for now,is to keep hair and ends trimmed and do not color your hair more than once every three months.Good luck with your hair!!!

A good haircut will always lead to a good styling. Cut your hair regularly (6-8 weeks) and your hair's ends won't be cloven.

For a great hair look, apply hair-spray or hair mousse at the roots of your hair. Pull up vertically every lock of hair, over a big round brush, and sear it with the hair drier
hair regeneration

For hair regeneration, many stilists recommend a mint and rosemary composition. This mixture applies on the hair and on the head skin. Then, damp a towel in hot water and wrap it around your head. Wait 10 minutes, and rinse your hair. You will get a silky and shiny hair
shiny hair

You can get a shinier hair if you use one of this two formulas: 1/4 liters of water mixed with 3 spoons of vinegar. Use this combination to rinse your hair. Another good mixture for your hair is to use half Aloe Vera gel with half almond oil and apply it on wet hair. After 30 to 60 minutes, rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water
Always sear your hair first
Reviewer: dana , 2006-07-18
Always sear your hair first! Don't use a hairbrush and a hair drier on a wet hair. If you don't do this, styling your hair will take too long, and your hair will be deteriorated, and will get entangled very easy. Use the hair drier on every lock, and take care to have a completely dry hair at the end

If you have cloven ends, you must cut them off. Take the locks one by one, wriggle them hard, and cut all the ends that protrude, very carefuly
tip

If you have normal hair, use an egg mask: it makes wonders. Use 1-2 egg yolks and 1 spoon of honey, mix them, and them apply the mask on your wet hair. Wait for 5-7 minutes, and then rinse with cold water. Yes, could watter, not warm. Your hair will be shinier and the roots will be more powerful, resulting in a stronger hair.
